A Solar Tile Roof, solar integrated roof tile system is comprised of active and non-active roof tile, fitting together seamlessly making the solar almost invisible, creating the most esthetically pleasing, sustainable, energy-producing & energy efficient, and safe roof systems.

Active Roof Tiles

Roof tiles that have solar electrical components built directly into them allowing the roof tiles to become solar energy producing.

Available in different styles, sizes, and colors/films with varying energy output capabilities, though each is designed with the same principle and components.

Glass-covered solar cells on top with electrical components joined by electrical string lines hidden underneath.

Solar cell size/output per square foot varies depending on tile size and style selected.

Material Type Available Options;

Non-Active Roof Tiles

Do not have the ability to produce clean solar energy, though they do contribute to the Cool Roof energy-saving element of a Solar Tile Roof.
Are typically readily available, architectural high-grade mainstream roof products. Also, they are typically much less expensive compared to Active roof tiles.

A must on every roof, because they are not glass coated, as they are required to be cut to fit on site to accommodate roof protrusions and transition areas, though more importantly they offer passive relief of energy cool roof accentuated by the active roof tiles.
